The film “Beyond the Obvious”, directed by Gota for Samsung, was built more through listening than speaking, more through the space between gestures than the actions themselves. From the beginning, the project led him to a place of inquiry: how do you film what isn’t shown? How do you build a narrative in which the image carries emotion without needing to be explained?

The idea of “seeing beyond the obvious” wasn’t just a creative concept—it was an aesthetic, ethical, and perceptual provocation. The film is grounded in delicacy: in frames that breathe, in silence filled with intention, in light that reveals affection.

Each situation was treated like a portrait. The aim was to capture that split second between gesture and thought—something almost unspeakable that precisely translates the kind of experience one has in front of a screen. Every scene required time, attentiveness, and precision. The camera doesn’t impose a rhythm; it follows. The cinematography emerges from natural light, the body at rest, the movement of air. When technology becomes human, it doesn’t just show—it invites us to feel beyond the obvious.
